Husqvarna TE610 – go anywhere you want

November 24, 2005

Husqvarna's new TE610 enduro machine has arrived in South Africa. It's based on the SM610 Supermoto and shares its 39kW, 576cc single-cylinder engine and road-tuned frame, with a new carburettor and modified head and barrel to improve mid-range power.

The TE, however, is a true dual-purpose machine, designed to go anywhere you can walk then take you to work on Monday. It's not shown in these pictures but a full road kit (indicators, hooter, etc) is included in the crate with every TE and the bike can made street-legal in a matter of minutes.

The TE610 is designed for off-road riders who ride their enduro bikes every day, club racers who need more comfort and practicality but who still enjoy riding a thoroughbred racing machine.

It's a superb example of how a racing off-roader can be transformed into a street bike without losing its bite – a factory-entered TE610 won the "Marathon" category for production bikes in the 2005 Sardinian rally.
